First Steps to Become a Certified Teacher

  • So you want to become a certified teacher and don't know where to start?  Take these first few steps to start your rewarding career in teaching.

    First Steps in Becoming a Teacher

    1. Register at the PSC - The Georgia Professional Standards Commission reports certification to school districts.

    2. Take and Pass GACE Exams and Ethics Assessment - GACE content is required for full certification.

    3. Complete the Teacher Candidate Pool Application.
