Jumpstart for Success
A proposal for helping our most at-risk learners jumpstart their success for the 2019-2020 school year!
-
Executive Overview
Background: The Summer Success Academy and Summer School programming offered during the 2018-2019 yielded high impact results for our students in the Achievement Zone and South Learning Community. We can leverage this model to expose additional students to standards-based instruction prior to the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
Purpose: The Jumpstart for Success program will provide students who will be enrolled in 3rd and 5th grade during the 2019-2020 school year at selected schools an opportunity to engage in 9 days of instruction before the school year begins. Students will receive exposure to standards at the rising grade level using the Summer School Framework, setting them up for increased success during the 2019-2020 school year.
